What will this workshop cover?

This workshop is designed to help experienced and inexperienced actors prepare for national as well as local commercials, feature film and corporate video auditions. In a mock audition format, students will be given commercial copy to work with for an on-camera read. These "auditions" will be critiqued in a supportive and constructive classroom setting and transferred to a DVD for you to keep. The workshop will also include an informative segment on such topics as pictures & resumes, wardrobe, make-up, hair, and how the entertainment industry "really" works. The Internet has changed the way actors market themselves this workshop will show you how you can live local and work on national projects. Each workshop will last approximately four hours (we usually go long). We tailor each workshop to a limit of ten participants.

Who is the instructor?

This workshop will be facilitated by Award Winning Video Director, John Holser and conducted by Casting Director, Jenny O'Haver.

During her tenure in Los Angeles, Jenny cast hundreds of national and international commercials, as well as television shows, films, print and voice over. She handled casting for Pepsi's international commercial featuring pop star Christina Aguilera and a Coors Light commercial that featured Kid Rock. She has collaborated with other top corporations such as Visa, McDonald's, Coca Cola, Verizon, Home Depot and Nike, to name a few. Jenny has also worked as a creative producer, developing projects for HBO and AMC.
