Description:

When it comes to on-camera acting, there is no “BEING”- believable characters must be active in "DOING". Each participant will learn and practice the same Sanford Meisner “OBJECTIVE” and “AS IF ” principles used by Sydney Pollack and Dustin Hoffman. You’ll develop skills for hitting marks, managing emotional energy and cheating to the camera. You’ll also learn techniques for active listening, improving for character truth and making the most of your close-up.We have multiple cameras so everyone will have plenty of screen time. This workshop will end with everyone having the opportunity to appear in a on location dramatic scene.

 This workshop begins with website download E-Learning and finishes with a 12 hour on location workshop that includes a farm style lunch and working dinner. Everyone will receive a DVD copy of their recorded dramatic scene.

 Who should take this workshop?

Designed for beginners and experienced stage actors with a desire to enhance his or her on-camera acting abilities for film, TV commercial or the corporate communication market. The workshop is also open to directors who wish to further their understanding of the acting process.
