Description: You’ll learn techniques for active listening, improving character truth and making the most of your close-up. When it comes to on-camera acting, there is no “Being”- believable characters are active in “Doing. Each participant will learn and practice the same Sanford Meisner “OBJECTIVE” and “AS IF ” principles. Taught to and used by Sydney Pollack and Dustin Hoffman. You’ll develop skills for hitting marks, managing emotional energy and cheating to the camera. We have multiple cameras so everyone will have plenty of screen time. This workshop will end with everyone having the opportunity to appear in a on location dramatic scene.
This workshop begins with website download E-Learning and finishes with a 14 hour on location workshop that includes a farm style lunch with working dinner. Everyone will receive a copy of the recorded dramatic scene.
Who should take this workshop? Designed for beginners and experienced stage actors with a desire to enhance his or her on-camera acting abilities for film, TV commercial or the corporate communication market. The workshop is also open to directors who wish to further their understanding of the acting process.
