What is it?

The Actors Network is a database of actors, extras and all character types in-between. This network is designed to connect “real people with real parts”. Independent filmmakers, corporate video producers and advertising agencies are always looking for the right face, or a diverse ethnic mix. Sometimes it’s an overweight man playing the part of a heart attack patient or it could be a thirty something beauty for an advertising campaign. There are as many opportunities as there are character types, this is especially true in the independent film arena. So whether you’re looking to be a background extra, working on your career, or a seasoned pro the Actor’s Network will put your name in front of the professionals making films, TV commercials and media for the web. Why should I join?

You should join if you think you might want to appear in a Independent Film, TV Commercial, Corporate Training Video and possibly a Hollywood Film. When the people who make movies need actors and extras they will contact us to help them find people we we will contact you. As a skilled actor or responsible extra you are a resource that will help us satisfy them and ultimately bring more work into the area. More work means more and possibly bigger opportunities for you! Together we can make it so! 

Is this an audition?

No - this is not an audition because you are not trying out for a specific part. You are making yourself avaliable for numerous parts.

Is this another "Model Search Scam"?

No - We are not promising to make you a star. You must do that yourself. We are providing you with opportunities to work your craft and have some fun! We know alot of people who are making films and need actors. Our job is to make it easy for these production companies to find you.

Will I get paid.

Independent Filmmakers pay little or nothing, AD Agencies and Corporate Production Companies pay fairly well. Hollywood usually pays for extras and always pays for bit parts. If you're lucky enough to get a speaking line in a Hollywood film your rate goes up.  If you take a non-paying gig you will get experience and make connections. JOIN THE DATABASE NOW!

Do I have to be really good looking?

Absolutley not - Your look represents a character type in this business. As it pertains to advertising and corporate video production " YOU'RE A PRODUCT".  This doesn't mean you're not respected and treated well, but as it pertains to the job you represent a collection of attributes including acting skills, gender type, age range, ethnic mix and character type.

Does it cost to join.
